My name is Ruth Ehrhardt
I am a mother , midwife and traditional birth attendant from South Africa.
Using the container of The Thinking Environment – a modality designed by Nancy Kline, I create a safe, non-judgmental, uninterrupted space for you to dive into what you are needing to think about. If you require feedback and information, I am available to do that too but essentially, the idea behind this way of working and holding space is trusting that the innate knowledge to guide you, lies within you, and within the correct environment, you can tap into that.
Essentially, creating the basic needs for you to think for yourself!

Couples Online Thinking, Information, and Mentoring Sessions
These couples sessions offer a gentle, uninterrupted space for you and your partner to explore your thoughts, concerns, and questions — together. Using The Thinking Environment, I create the framework for both of you to listen deeply, think freely, and access the innate wisdom you each carry, both individually and as a couple.
Whether you are preparing for your upcoming birth, navigating decisions, processing experiences, or simply needing to be heard — this space is for you.
Common reasons couples book these sessions include:
✔ Preparing together for birth, feeling aligned and supported
✔ Thinking through choices, fears, or hopes in a safe environment
✔ Debriefing after a birth experience, together
✔ Seeking neutral, experienced insight or information, if desired
As always, the focus is on your ability to think for yourselves — my role is to hold the space, with gentle guidance and deep trust in your wisdom.
